Inglés 2° Worksheet Three: Present Simple Do you remember the present simple? (¿Se acuerdan del presente simple?) The present simple is the most common verb tense in the english language. It is use when we want to refer to Routines, Permanent Situations or Physics or Natural Laws. 1 Some examples: ● I work in Bachillerato IMPA. (Routine) – Yo trabajo en el Bachillerato IMPA. (Rutina) ● She has a car. (Permanent Situations) – Ella tiene un auto. (Situaciones Permanentes) ● The sun appears in the east. (Physics or Natural Laws) – El sol sale por el este. (Leyes Naturales o de la Física) The structure of a sentence Present Simple sentence is the following2:

Subject (personal pronoun) + Verb + Rest of the Sentence Example: I Play With my cousin

(Yo Juego Con mi primo) In the previous activity we worked on Personal Pronouns and the Verb to Be. Now we are going to get into the Present Simple. In the following chart you are going to see the correct form of the verb (they change depending on the Personal Pronoun). En la actividad anterior trabajamos sobre Pronombres Personales y el Verbo to Be. Ahora nos adentraremos en el Presente Simple. En el cuadro siguiente podrán ver la forma correcta de los verbos (cambian dependiendo del Pronombre Personal).

Es muy importante recordar que cuando el Pronombre Personal es El, ELLA o ESO, el verbo se escribe con una S al final.
